Coresense Pc Interface Software
AACHEN, GERMANY, October 25, 2012 – Emerson Climate Technologies is providing a new software tool for CoreSense Diagnostics on Copeland™ Stream compressors. In addition to the multi-color LEDs on each CoreSense module, this PC interface software provides fast access to the past and present status of Stream compressors.
Communication, protection and diagnostics onboard. Introducing the industry's first ever Copeland Scroll™ compressors with CoreSense™ Communications onboard. With this added feature, Copeland Scroll compressors can stream real-time diagnostics information on the compressor's operation to the system controller. CoreSense Diagnostics – Communication Features The communication feature of the CoreSense module provides access to information like alarm history.

Running status as well as the alarm history (most recent 10 alarms, 8-day alarm history and total number of alarms since the compressor first started) is available. The configuration of the compressor parameters is possible with a service laptop and also remotely using open Modbus® communication. Furthermore, auto and manual data logging as well as operating instructions are available with the software. Additional information like location and customer name can be entered, too. If more than one compressor is installed, they can be accessed all at one time.
The new PC interface software is available through a software CD from Emerson Climate Technologies sales offices. CoreSense Diagnostics is an innovation providing advanced compressor protection and diagnostics benefits for improved system reliability, reduced service costs and increased equipment life time. With CoreSense technology, service engineers can diagnose system-related problems faster or even before they occur, in order to keep refrigeration systems in optimum condition over their entire lifetime. The diagnostics module stores compressor asset information, advanced runtime information and faulty history information. All compressor models of the Stream family feature CoreSense Diagnostics, which caters to the needs of system manufacturers, contractors, installers and end-users. About Emerson. This blog is a summary of the article CoreSense™ Technology Gives Contractors a Sixth Sense from our recent edition of E360 Outlook. Click to read the article in its entirety. Compressor failure is a worst-case scenario in commercial refrigeration applications. For supermarket operators, it can mean catastrophic product losses compounded by the expenses of system maintenance, repairs and compressor replacement. For the service technician whose responsibility is to properly diagnose and prevent system faults before they occur, system failures can blemish their reputation. In a perfect world, retailers would keep a dedicated service technician on-site to continuously monitor refrigeration system performance.
But in reality, this scenario is just not feasible. That’s why the advent of built-in compressor electronics — like Emerson’s CoreSense technology — is revolutionizing the commercial refrigeration service paradigm. Probability Markov Chains Queues And Simulation Ebook Library. CoreSense technology provides continuous system monitoring, placing protection and diagnostics at the contractor’s fingertips.
As contractors more frequently encounter these units in the field, the challenge is to not only embrace their obvious benefits, but to exploit their capabilities to their maximum potential. Communications-enabled connectivity Designed with advanced communication capabilities, CoreSense technology allows contractors to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot system issues — either at the customer’s site or remotely via mobile device access. • PC interface kit — once at the customer’s site, contractors can connect their laptop to the CoreSense module via a USB to RS485 cable. Software then gives the contractor visibility to real-time system data and historical performance to help them quickly analyze and troubleshoot system issues. • Remote access — for maximum contractor benefit, CoreSense technology can be paired with a facility management or site supervisory system controller to extend its data to remote technicians in the field, a monitoring service, or a service department headquarters. With remote access, historic system data can be quickly accessed to analyze and troubleshoot errors. Failure protection One of the most obvious benefits of CoreSense technology is its ability to protect the compressor from damage, primarily through its system trip or reset functions, including: • Incorrect phase rotation protection (Scroll only) • Discharge temperature protection (optional on Discus) • Oil pressure protection (Discus) In the event of a lockout condition that warrants compressor shutdown, CoreSense technology will stop the compressor until the event has been cleared by the contractor (either remotely or on-site).
